Biography
Born in the 20th century, Omar Yahya’s subjects range from landscapes and portrait figures to animal fights, daily activities, and dancers. He paints in a realist style with richly detailed execution. Many of his works are held by senior collectors in Indonesia and abroad. His paintings were also part of the collection of former President Soekarno.
