Galih Reza Suseno is a Yogyakarta-based contemporary artist whose work explores spirituality, humanity, and nature through clay and his self-developed plototan technique. His textured pieces evoke the organic layers of human experience and the spiritual essence of the natural world.
Holding a BFA from Universitas Sebelas Maret and an MFA from ISI Yogyakarta, Galih has presented solo exhibitions such as Hope Beyond Absurdity (2012), Imago Dei (2017), The Wanderlust (2021), and Universe of Now (2023), and shown in major art fairs including Art Jakarta and Affordable Art Fair Singapore. A two-time Basoeki Abdullah Art Award winner and 2017 UOB Painting of the Year Gold Emerging Artist, he has also completed residencies in Indonesia and Singapore, further refining his meditative, materials-based approach.
