Muna Diannur (b. 1990, Langsa) is a visual artist whose work blends traditional Arabic calligraphy with contemporary urban art. Trained at the Lembaga Kaligrafi Al-Qur’an (LEMKA) and holding both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Fine Arts from the Jakarta Institute of the Arts (IKJ), he now teaches at IKJ while actively exhibiting in Indonesia and abroad.
Early recognition came through numerous awards in Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) competitions, which laid the groundwork for his experimental approach—merging classical calligraphic forms with dynamic, modern compositions. Since 2009, he has shown in exhibitions such as The Power of Qur’an (2022), Art Jakarta (2024), and Liminal Realities (2025). Known for vivid colors and bold structures, Muna’s works create a dialogue between cultural heritage and contemporary visual expression.
