Rudy TS

B. 1960

Rudy TS was born in Bali in 1960 and graduated from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Indonesia. A self-taught artist, he has drawn inspiration from the writings of Aleson Taylor, Helena Spanjaard, and H. Tonny Herlambang, as well as from keen observation and personal experience. Since he began painting in 1975, Rudy has created an extensive body of work and recalls the story behind each piece. For him, almost all of his paintings reflect true events from his life.

One of the distinctive qualities of his art is a romantic sensibility, often infused into scenes of everyday life. Through this gentle, emotive touch, his works invite viewers to experience the warmth and sentiment woven into his personal narratives.
